CEPOL Executive Director’s visit to the Police Department
On 9 June 2022 a newly appointed Executive Director of the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) Montserrat Marín López visited the Police Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania.
Ms. Montserrat Marín López met with the Deputy Police Commissioner General Arūnas Paulauskas, the Head of the Lithuanian Police School Robertas Šimulevičius, as well as representatives of the Human Resources and International Cooperation Boards of the Police Department.
Ms. Marín López got acquainted with the Lithuanian Police and its training system. Participants of the meeting also discussed the challenges of today’s EU Law Enforcement training and future cooperation between CEPOL and the Lithuanian Police. Mr. A. Paulauskas assured Ms. Marín López that the Lithuanian Police realizes the need and is absolutely eager to further strengthen cooperation and actively contribute to the activities of CEPOL. The CEPOL Director, in her turn, shared her ideas on restructuring the CEPOL activity strategy so that every Member State could receive relevant quality training they need.
Ms. Montserrat Marín López also visited the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and the European Institute for Gender Equality.
